Driving change with Radical Recruit
Between November 2020 and February 2021, we placed 15 candidates from Radical Recruit – a pioneering recruitment team that bridges the gap between disadvantaged job seekers and promising business opportunities – in exciting new roles. Having thrived in Covid-19 testing sites across London, each candidate has since received amazing feedback about their work.
Two individuals from our first cohort of candidates have now been placed in permanent accommodation, and we continue to work closely with Lee and the Radical Recruit team to lend our support for their upcoming rough sleeper project.
“Moufi turned around to me and Temi the other day and said, ‘thank you for making me realise it’s possible’. This literally brought a tear to my eye and thought it would be nice for you to hear how your work is affecting the Radicals on the ground.” Rebecca – Site Manager at Kingston testing site.
Kickstarting a career with Constellation
In December 2020, we matched 15 candidates from the Government’s Kickstart Scheme, a programme offering funding for employers to create job placements for 16- to 24-year-olds on Universal Credit, to roles that allowed them to shine. Harnessing their individual talents and drive, we deployed the candidates to Covid-19 testing sites across London, Liverpool and Sheffield, with three individuals joining from the Springboard charity programme.
Since starting the project, all candidates have continued working across testing sites, and are excited for the opportunity to integrate into the wider Compass UK and Ireland business over the next few months.
“Really hard to say where Ben could improve in this role as he is a good professional member of the team at the test centre. He is reliable and follows instructions well, so can be trusted to deliver what is required.” Nathan – Site Manager at Speke LTS
